PPE – Personal Protective Equipment refers to items you need to keep safe while cleaning. They include disposable gloves, face masks to protect against allergens and hazardous materials. Shoe protectors and more.

Some housekeepers and maids don’t think they need to wear gloves because they don’t clean with toxic chemicals.

PPE – Personal Protective Equipment for House Cleaning

Some housekeepers and maids don’t think they need to wear protective equipment for house cleaning, but wearing it can protect your skin and keep you from getting sick.

Here are some protective equipment items:

  • Gloves –  Help to prevent any bacteria getting soaked into your skin when cleaning. As well as protecting you from other people’s germs and helping to prevent sickness.
  •  Face Masks – Mask help to protect your face and keep you from inhaling toxic fumes and chemicals. It can prevent you from breathing in any airborne bacteria or germs that can make you sick or airborne allergens. Protect yourself from dust, pollen, allergens, pet dander, sickness, flu, coughs, chemicals and more.
  • Shoe Covers – These covers allow you to keep your shoes on. Keeping your shoes on will give you the support that you need to do your cleaning job. And at the same time protecting the people’s floors by not tracking stuff in from outside onto their floor.


Next time that you are hesitant about using any protective gear, keep in mind that when it comes to house cleaning, you don’t get paid when you don’t work. Nobody pays you for staying home being sick.

So protect yourself and your business by taking necessary precautions and wearing the necessary protective equipment. It’s more than just a good idea.
